Default Teaching cat to flush the toilet?

Does anyone on here have any ideas on teaching a cat to flush the toilet?
    Would this actually work etc?

well, one of my cats used to flush the toilet. he figured it out on his own after watching me do it. although, it wasn't as practical as you might think. instead of just flushing it when he did his business, he flushed it ALLLLLLLLL the time. it was a game, he loved to watch the water swirl around, he would spin his head around looking down watching it. so it's cute, but kills your water bill.

nope, no push-button. just a regular toilet lever. he would stand next to the toilet on his back feet only, and push the lever down with his two front paws, then place his front paws on the toilet seat and stand there watching the water swirling around. i have no idea how to tell you to get your cat to do it. it was just something crazy he picked up. he was a very strange/smart cat. good luck though, if you can manage it.

Have a look at this, they all interested in playing. You can begin like a game, with small amount of water swirling in the bowl. But then the toilet will be flushed only when they want to play, not when it needs cleaning. However, this might always happen after the use of LK, why not?

I used to get my kitten to hop up on the loo using the flush.

I'm worried if I teach Frappucino to flush he might start flushing everything down the toilet... keys, jewellery, toys... etc...

    anyone had this happen?

Well, I cannot speak from a personal experience, but this is what I think: if your cat is playful and has dropped his toys into his water bowl or even toilet, yes, it is possible. Then it'll be just another game!! If he hasn't though, the worst thing that can happen is that he'll flush water all the time... over and over, and over again. Annoying at least, needless to say.

I'd say install auto-flusher. Much easier and you'll save a bit on a cat-induced water bill

    Hey,

You can use an automatic flusher for your toilet. I think you can buy one online, and then it's just a matter of getting your cat used to it. Another cat training group I'm a part of has several people who have used it.

I found this video of a cat flushing, but was trained to only flush after it went potty and the owner said "flush".

I would also like to get an autoflush system because I have three cat's and I don't think they like to go when there is already poo in the toilet, but I have a wallmounted toilet and it's not easy to find autoflush for it. The only thing I found was extremely expencive (700dollars)and it has a sensor, that means that something has to make the sensor work after they have been at the toilet, how do I managde that whitout teaching the cat to flush...Icant imagine that it can detect when someone is jumping off the toilet when it is placed over the toilet...What to do?

This is the only one I found:
