Hi everyone,
I've been training my cat for months now and we hit a problem at the green stage after having her on amber for 2 months. We tried everything I read up on here to solve the problem but she's not the brightest of cats and just kept going #2s on the floor. We went back a step, back another, back everything and still she refused to go number 2s on the LK again. So now I'm back to red on the floor and thank goodness she's doing both in there. My dilemma- we are sending her to a friend's place in about 3 weeks and I would like to get her back on the toilet at least before we do that to justify the friend using the LK as opposed to the norm. Is there a pace I can work at when redoing the stages? |

We usually recommend using at least two accident free weeks on each stage before moving on, but the longer the better. The LK needs to be cleaned all the time, are you sure your friend is up to it? Everytime I have taken my cats other places I make sure they are only in the bathroom first so they feel safe in there. I always stay there until they have used the LK/toilet once before I leave so I know that they know where to go and that they are OK.
