So I began potty training my kitty LeeLoo back at the beginning of the Summer and she did wonderfully. We had no accidents and made it through all the stages by August, then we moved from Orlando to DC. LeeLoo is not a good traveller and she takes a little time to get settled into new environments, so I didn't really know how to go about teaching her about her new potty.
When we got to the new apartment, we showed her the bathroom and we closed her in there when we were out and for the first night. She hated that! I think that was a little set back for us. Since she wasn't using the potty, I put the amber ring on and started her from there. She was still nervous about it and really hated going in the bathroom. After a few accidents, one in the tub, one in her bed and on in the dog's bed, I decided that I needed to make her more comfortable in the bathroom. I moved her food into the bathroom, and started giving her some cans of wet food because she is a little greedy and loves to eat!
After she started eating in the bathroom, we had no problems training her on the potty again. We just gave her a week on each stage because she seemed to remember what she was supposed to be doing. Now we are litter free again! Yea!!
